In 1971, the Herreshoff Marine Museum (HMM) was established to preserve and interpret the legacy of the world-renowned Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and its founders, brothers Nathanael and John Herreshoff.
With a collection of over 70 boats and thousands of additional maritime artifacts, the museum tells a fascinating story about a transformational business built on excellence in design, engineering, and manufacturing — all with a relentless drive for innovation.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021, HMM approached GROW for transformational ideas to support a capital campaign for future decades. Its vision to become an interactive education and discovery center for design, innovation and entrepreneurship needed development materials to appeal not only to existing boat-loving supporters but also to non-boaters of diverse ages and interests.
Grow worked with HMM to develop launch materials beginning with a campaign identity and engaging tagline. From there, and critical to the campaign’s ultimate success, we created collateral and a customizable presentation package tailored for one-on-one meetings with the museum’s prospective early supporters.
